Tunisia plays host to first North Africa-USA Workshop on "Nanostructured Materials and Nanotechnology"
HAMMAMET - Secretary of state in charge of scientific research and technology Ridha Ben Mosbah presided, on Monday in Hammamet, over the opening of the first North Africa-USA Workshop on "Nanostructured Materials and Nanotechnology."
The four-day scientific event is held by the Tunisian Society of Theoretic Chemistry (ATCT), in association with the Technopole of Borj Cedria, the Preparatory Institute for Engineering Studies of El Manar and the US National Research Foundation (NRF).
20 American experts and 16 researchers from Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Egypt are taking part in this workshop to be broadcast via video-conference and in their totality in the web.
The agenda of this event includes the presentation of novelties in matters of research in the fields of nanostructured materials and nanotechnology and communications and applications of these technologies in the fields of industry, medicine, environment and energy.
It is aimed at publicising the Tunisian experience in this field and gathering Maghreb researches and American scientists in order to step up scientific and technological exchange with advanced countries.
