Conference on prevention of AIDS patients exclusion

MAHDIA - The National Parenthood and Population Board (ONFP) held, on Tuesday in Mahdia, in association with the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, a conference to raise awareness on the need to fight the exclusion of AIDS patients.

The conference, which was chaired by governor of Mahdia Taieb Aloui, was attended by members of the local councils, several organisations and associations active in the region as well as media representatives.

Several items were on the agenda of this meeting, including notably the scientific definition of sexually transmitted diseases, particularly AIDS, and the fight against the spread of these diseases.

The conference made it possible to discuss the need to establish relations of co-operation and partnership between ONFP local delegations and regional and municipal councils.
