Radio Festival: Awards Ceremony

Tunis Theater Thursday hosted a concert sponsored by the Tunisian Radio as part of its second festival.

TUNIS – Tunis Theater Thursday hosted a concert sponsored by the Tunisian Radio as part of its second festival.

The event was dedicated to Tunisian music Star the late Hédi Jouini whose birthday centennial (1909-1990) is being celebrated nationwide

The ceremony was attended by Mr Rafaa Dkhil, Minister in charge of Communication and relations with the Chamber of Deputies and the Chamber of Advisors as well as Mr Mansour M'henni, Chairman and General Director of the Tunisian Radio and a large number of culture and media people.

Brilliantly performed by the Radio orchestra, the conert was animated by a pick of Tunisian artists such as Mohamed Jebali, Olfa Ben Romdhane, Mongia Sfaxi, Hassan Dahmani, Zied Gharsa, Zohra Lajnef, Alya Belaid, Chokri Bouzaiane, Chokri Omar, Dorra Fourti, Dorsaf Hamdani, et Lotfi Bouchnaq, who interpreted a varied and rich cocktail of Hédi Jouini's compositions echoed by a highly knowledgeable audience about the exciting melodies still graven in the public memory such as "Samra ya samra" or "Taht el yasmina fil lil."

The marking feature of this event was the awards ceremony crowning the broadcast program contest whose list of winners follows:

/ Jury special award: Radio Tunis international (RTCI )
1/ Forum programs awards :

- Gold Radio, for the program "Quite Frankly " animated by Afif Frigui of the National Radio.

- Silver Radio, shared by the program "The Radio at Your Service" by Makram Henchiri of Radio Gafsa and the program "Forum" by Oumaya Ben Doua and Wissal Hasnaoui of Radio Mosaique.

2/ Specialized programs awards:

- Gold Radio for the program "Health" (Sahha et Afia) by Zeineb Abou El Wafa of Radio Tataouine.

-Silver Radio for the program "Training and Employment " by Yosr Hazgui of the National Radio.

3/ Culture programs awards:

- Gold Radio for the program "Words in the Mist of Night" by Omar Aloui and Hédi Ghouil of Radio Gafsa.

- Silver Radio for the program "Soul Talk " by Kamel Allaoui and Naima Dessouli of Tunisia's Culture Radio.

4/ Children's programs awards:

- Gold Radio for the program "Friends of mine: Books " by 'Intissar Kammoun of Radio Sfax.

- Silver Radio: shared, for the program "Strange Machine" by Héla Touaiti of Tunisia's Culture Radio and the program "Jawhara Kids" of Radio Jawhara.

5/ Station Identification awards:

- La radio d'or au spot "le mouton de l'aid" de Alaeddine Ayoub et Walid Boukheris de Radio Monastir.

- La radio d'argent au spot "La radio en une heure" de Radio Sfax.

6/ Prix du présentateur de journal:

- Gold Radio awarded to Sondoss Mesaoui of Radio Kef.

- Silver Radio to Hassine Dabbabi of Radio Mosaique.

7/ Best Sports Reporter award:

- The profession's award to Labib Essghaier of the National Radio.

- Public's award (via SMS) to Heykel Essghaier of Radio Jeunes.

8/ Best animator award:

- The profession's award to Samir Atiki of Radio Tataouine.

- Public's award (via SMS) to Hatem Baklouti of Radio Sfax.
