The 14-wagon gas train derailed near the station of the coastal city of Viareggio killing 21 people, including five children, and injuring 26, most of them seriously.
The Italian cabinet on Friday declared the scene of the gas explosion a national disaster, and said the emergency at the site will remain in effect until December 31.
The bodies will be repatriated on Sunday, Nabil Benabdallah, Morocco’s ambassador in Italy told MAP.
