Morocco to host new USD 100Mn medical complex in Casablanca

Abou Dhabi - Abu Dhabi municipality and French Jacob France Engineering Consultancy Group, on Wednesday, signed a USD 100Mn contract for building the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed specialized medical complex in Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital.

    By virtue of this agreement, the French group will undertake the works of architecture, design and supervision of the 65,000 sqm health facility, named after the President of the United Arab Emirates.  Construction works are expected to start by the end of the year.

    The hospital that will be completed in 30 months, will include several specialized wards such as ER unit, oncology, diabetes center, Op rooms and a nursery.

   During his official visit to Morocco in 2006, the President of the United Arab Emirates, (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyane, has decided to earmark some USD 100Mn to build this facility.
