Rabat - Morocco is organizing a campaign to collect five metric tons of medicines and medical equipment for Gaza in solidarity with the Palestinian victims of the Israeli aggression.

The Medical Committee for Support to Lebanon and Palestine said Tuesday at a press conference it has received a letter from the Health Ministry of the Gaza Strip listing the medicaments and equipment badly needed in the besieged region.

The coordinator of the Committee, Mohamed Laghdaf Ghaouti said a medical delegation will be dispatched to Gaza to supervise the distribution of the humanitarian aids on the medical centers of the Strip.

After the bloody Israeli incursion in Gaza early March that left over 120 victims and hundreds injured, Moroccans held a solidarity sit-in in Rabat and condemned the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians.

The Moroccan government had also issued a statement condemning Israel’s “horrible” acts against the Palestinian civilians, and denouncing the blockade imposed on the region.
