Moroccan med team successfully performs two kidney transplants
Rabat - A Moroccan medical team of the Mohammed V Military Teaching Hospital have recently performed two kidney grafts, the first in a military hospital in Morocco.
The surgery benefited to two people who received the graft from living related kidney donors, a communiqué of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) Staff said on Thursday.
The transplant patients and the donors recover well, said the same source, noting that the two transplants herald the implementation of a national transplant program that will allow for performing one kidney transplant every month as of October 2008.
Today, the conditions for efficient care and regular kidney disease treatment are established and all arrangements are made so that renal insufficiency be treated properly, the press release went on.
