Convention signed to raise expats awareness on STI/AIDS in Catalonia
A partnership agreement to raise the awareness of the Moroccan expatriates living in Catalonia, Spain has been signed recently between the Pan-African Organization for the fight against AIDS (OPALS-Morocco) and an association of Moroccan expatriates.
Barcelona - A partnership agreement to raise the awareness of the Moroccan expatriates living in Catalonia, Spain has been signed recently between the Pan-African Organization for the fight against AIDS (OPALS-Morocco) and an association of Moroccan expatriates.
The agreement, signed with the "Adib Biladi" association, based in Reus in Tarragona, Spain, aims to sensitize the Moroccan community living in Tarragona on the dangers of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), the association said.
The two parties also agreed to coordinate efforts to promote health among the target population in order to improve information and prevention in terms of STIs and reproductive health.
The agreement also provides for organizing and producing joint scientific activities and educational teaching tools to fight STIs.
