Rabat - Wydad Casablanca took advantage of the first defeat in the season of the Difaa El Jadida to jump to leadership with two points ahead of Difaa

Wydad defeated Moghreb Fez thanks to a goal of the Congolese newcomer, Junior Moukoko, who, just like his countryman Lys Mouitys, seems to be a good deal for Wydad.

While everybody expected Difaa to grab an easy victory over one of the teams of the bottom, Olympic Safi, the latter seemed more determined to grab the full three points of the game, which they achieved thanks to the striker Houssameddine Senhaji who scored the two goals, ending the match 2-1.

Last season's title holder Raja Casablanca are moving steadily towards the top. They defeated KAC Kenitra 3-0 at the latter's home, becoming closer to the leadership with only five points behind.

Wydad Fez, from the bottom of the standing, pursue their upward trajectory since the coming of the coach Abderrahim Taleb.

After they were previously standing alone in the last rank, they could overtake five teams to stand in a comfortable position, with 8 points ahead of the last place. On Sunday, they thrashed As Salé 3-0.

Unlike most previous games, the 17th round saw Moroccan strikers more active than foreign ones, scoring 10 goals out of 13.
