Tangiers - HM King Mohammed VI laid on Friday in Tangiers the foundation stone for the construction of a cultural and administrative complex of the Ministry of Islamic affairs, worth $ 8 million (65 million dirhams)

Tangiers - HM King Mohammed VI laid on Friday in Tangiers the foundation stone for the construction of a cultural and administrative complex of the Ministry of Islamic affairs, worth $ 8 million (65 million dirhams)

    The sovereign followed explanations on the facility, to be built on a 34,000-sqm area. It will consist of a documentation and reading centre, libraries for Islamic and literary studies, an audiovisual centre and other spaces for computing and children.

     This project will also include halls for conferences, meetings and artistic exhibitions, besides a building dedicated to administrative management.

     The creation of this complex is part of Morocco's efforts to modernise and provide the Department of the Habous (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs with all necessary tools and means to enable it to carry out its missions in the best conditions.
