Mauritania is expected to get billions of dollars from oil revenues
Australian oil companies lead multi national consortium for oil and gas production in Mauritania expected this country to get billions of US dollars during the few coming years.
The Australian companies based their expectation on the discovery of large amount of crude oil and gas in three recently discovered oil fields. Estimates indicate that oil reserve reached 1.5 billion barrels while gas reserves are 30 billion cubic meters in the three fields.
On Wednesday, President of Mauritania Mu'aweya Sayed Ahmad al-Taye met with the Charles Godot and Don Foblet, two heads of the Australian oil companies "Woodside Petrolium Limited " and Woodside Energy Limited, and discussed issues relating to investment in oil and gas in Mauritania.
