Pakistani president to pay three-day visit to Libya

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari is to pay a state visit to Libya from April 30 to May 2, a statement from foreign ministry said Wednesday.

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari is to pay a state visit to Libya from April 30 to May 2, a statement from foreign ministry said Wednesday.

    Zardari will meet with Libyan leaders and interact with representatives of Libyan business community and media during Zardari's three-day visit, the statement said.

    The two countries are expected to sign agreements in the fields of manpower, visa abolition, culture and higher education.

    "Pakistan and Libya enjoy excellent brotherly relations. The President's visit will further strengthen and expand these relations and provide an opportunity to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest," said the statement.
