Tunisian Radio elected to vice-presidency of permanent Mediterranean Audio-visual Conference

The Tunisian Radio has been elected, in the person of Mr. Mansour Mhenni, to the vice-presidency of the permanent Mediterranean Audio-visual Conference (Co.Pe.AM) at the general assembly of this body, held on May 16-18, 2008 in Bucharest.

TUNIS - The Tunisian Radio has been elected, in the person of Mr. Mansour Mhenni, to the vice-presidency of the permanent Mediterranean Audio-visual Conference (Co.Pe.AM) at the general assembly of this body, held on May 16-18, 2008 in Bucharest.

The general assembly elected the new president, Mr. Emmanuel Hoog, director of the French National Institute of Archives (INA-France).

It re-elected Mrs. Alexandra Paradisi (RAI-Italy) to the post of secretary-general and elected four new vice-presidents who are : the Algerian Television, the Tunisian Radio, the Egyptian Television (which will host the next general assembly in 2009) and the Spanish Television.

In order to confirm equality in the Mediterranean, the Radio Commission of the Co.Pe.AM proposed to the general assembly the creation of a vice-presidency of the commission which was approved.

Mr. Robert Kudelca of "Radio-France bleu frequenza" of Corsica has been elected to the presidency of the Radio commission and Mr. Ridha Bouguezzi of RTCI (Tunisian international Radio) was elected to the vice-presidency of this commission.

Besides, Mr. Mansour Mhenni chairman and managing director of the Tunisian Radio lectured on " The Mediterranean beyond its borders."
