LE KEF, Feb 4, 2010 (TAP)- Tunisian and Algerian businessmen Wednesday met here. The meeting is held annually to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of Sakiet Sidi Youssef events. This year's meeting focused on the sector of building trade and public works as well as the prospects of cooperation in matters of joint ventures, building materials trade, engineering and consulting for the achievement of infrastructure projects. Presiding over the opening of the meeting, trade and handicrafts minister Ridha Ben Mosbah affirmed that bilateral trade exchanges stood at 1277 million dinars in 2009, in addition to the rising number of Tunisian firms set up in Algeria, estimated at over 60 (industry and services). He stressed the role played by joint structures such as the Tunisian-Algerian business council and the joint chamber in boosting relations between the two countries'economic operators and taking advantage of the geographic proximity and neighbourliness.TAP
