Mobilisation to hold successful second Maghreb Businessmen Forum

TUNIS, Feb. 4, 2010 (TAP) - The Maghreb Employers Union (MEU) board of directors convened, on Wednesday in Algiers, to look at the Union's work schedule during the current year and furtherance of preparations for the 2nd Maghreb Businessmen Forum scheduled for next May 10-11 in Tunis.

TUNIS, Feb. 4, 2010 (TAP) - The Maghreb Employers Union (MEU) board of directors convened, on Wednesday in Algiers, to look at the Union's work schedule during the current year and furtherance of preparations for the 2nd Maghreb Businessmen Forum scheduled for next May 10-11 in Tunis. Presided over by Libyan Employers Organisation chairman and MEU serving chairman Ibrahim Hafedh, the meeting was held with attendance of Tunisian Industry, Trade and Handicrafts Union Hédi Djilani and chairmen of other Maghreb employers organisations and MEU members. The emphasis was particularly laid, during this meeting, on the need to mobilise Maghreb region's enterprises to take part in the Tunis Forum and make the most of the available partnership opportunities to develop exchanges between Maghreb countries. Besides, Maghreb employers organisations discussed the evolution of the economic situation in the Maghreb region, pointing to the importance of multiplying efforts to speed up Maghreb economic integration process.
