Algerian border guards on Sunday opened fire on an Algerian citizen living in the suburbs of the Moroccan eastern city of Oujda. The twenty-eight year old Algerian national, who works as a peasant, was injured in the thigh. He was soon transferred to Al Farabi hospital in Oujda for necessary care.

Some ascribe the incident, the first since a year, to the newly hired trigger-happy frontier guards who don't know well the boundary line that separates the two states.
